Cellular respiration is the biological process that cells use to produce energy. The process is the bases for aging in all animals and is also referred to as ‘oxidative metabolism’ this term also explains the progression and origin of many age related diseases. The biological function encompasses a set of the metabolic reactions and processes that take place in organisms’ cells to convert biochemical energy from nutrients into adenosine triphosphate (ATP), and then release waste products.
